I said good bye to this year’s zinnias yesterday.
They had been fighting so valiantly for the past two weeks.
Even watering didn’t seem to help.
And so I will save the dried stalks I pulled up to harvest the seed for next year.
Gardening is forgiving like that. There is always a new season.
Now to Finds and Favorites
Let’s start here:
Sheet Masks
I buy these in boxes of 5 at Ross, Marshall’s, or TJ Maxx (of course I do -where else would I be?).
When you wear one, it feels wonderful and like you are doing something for yourself.
Sheet masks, allegedly, hydrate the skin.
For the 20 minutes you are wearing one you do look like a serial killer.
I learned about them from Tikaa of Totally Tikaa on instagram .
Create 265 Planner
These Create 365 planners are both pretty and affordable.
They are sold at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby and with your 40% off
coupon, it’s a win win.
The pages are removable, and the planner folds flat.
Sigh…I love planners.
Now to the planning.
Entertainment
And lastly- for entertainment you must watch the series Poldark on Netflix.
Oh my. It is good.
Enjoy your week everyone!

Those creme face masks sound interesting, and can you believe, I have not watched Poldark yet? I am sure I would like it.
ReplyDeleteI need to watch Poldark! I am so behind!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love planners, too! I use Erin Condren's. A little pricey, but well made and suits my needs. I've never heard of Poldark...I'll have to take a look at it. Love the photo of your zinnias. Your home is so pretty, bright and colorful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe masks sound intriguing. I must be living under a rock, had never heard of Poldark.
ReplyDeleteI've never done a fast mask, perhaps I should. I love my planner and will have to check this one out. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI meant to say face mask. Goodness, I need spell check on the comment section.
ReplyDeleteI need to look for the face masks. They sound fabulous.
ReplyDeleteLove post like this that give me ideas, Laura! I love buying face and body products at Marshall's, etc., but everything changes out so quickly. Nice thing is there is usually a dot com address on the packaging. Do you have one for the cucumber things? I could sure use them! Also love the hand and dish soaps I find at Marshall's...I stock up.
ReplyDeleteI'd be lost without my planner. I got this year at Target. Will look at our fave store soon!!! :)

My zinnias are burning up, too. Is there anything that can stand up to full sun in the Texas heat this time of year?? The rest of my yard has enough shady times during the day that the begonias, geraniums, and lantana are still going great guns, but that's about it!
ReplyDeleteI have very few blooms left! I need a new planner. That one looks very nice! I must "plan" on getting one:). Enjoy your day dear friend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLaura
ReplyDeleteYou are a wealth of information! I've not heard of the sheet masks but they sound positively divine! I do love planners but have not seen this particular brand. I will definitely go check these out(with coupon in hand). I did watch Poldark on PBS last year and have been anxiously anticipating the new season which BTW begins this month! What would we do without PBS?
PS Sorry about your zinnias.;-(
I've been using the Create 365 Happy Planner for a year now and I love it. I have always "decorated" my planners since I was a teen. While I don't get nearly as elaborate as some planner junkies, I love a little color and fun in my daily life! Makes the to do list a whole lot more fun! Will have to try the masks... Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTammy
Laura, I had the same sad thoughts about my mint today. A good rain would revive it but it's been over a month now... I love these ideas ~ the masks look wonderful and I'm always looking for something binge-worthy on Netflix ;)
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteI l o v e Planners, too, dear friend!
I have a scheduled visit to Hobby Lobby tomorrow. . .I look for the planner you suggested!
"Mr. Ed" is the Master Gardener here, and he too, saves seeds!
I have the most adorable miniature pumpkin sitting on the built~in Buffet!
Poldark is a favorite of ours, too! I'm excited about a new Season coming soon!
Wishing you a great week ahead!
Fondly,
Pat
I have zinnias for the first year ever and I love them! Cheery and bright!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about Poldark and am going to have to give it a try!
Laura,
ReplyDeleteWearing your mask and watching Poldark... doesn't get any better than that.
Judith
enjoy these last few weeks of summer friend!
ReplyDeletePBS will have a new season of Poldark starting this fall, I think. Maybe winter. Good for you to be caught up! And what a wonderful planner! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love zinnias...and believe it or not, my first one is just blooming here! I loved Poldark, too...can't wait until the next season on PBS.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a sheet mask, it sounds like heaven! Thanks for the tips~
ReplyDeleteJenna
Thanks for the tips, Laura! I've bought some masks at Target, but I'll look at the stores you mentioned. As for Poldark...I haven't seen it, but I'll check it out for sure. I appreciate the recommendation.
