Pallets of Pavers
I have worked so hard in my yard this weekend, I can’t feel my feet.
I am smiling because I planted my zinnias and tomatoes, but I can’t feel my feet.
Why?
When I work outside, I do a lot of walking back and forth looking for things I have lost-
like my tools, or my phone, or my water, or whatever has distracted me and caught my attention.
And then there are the projects.
Today we had someone take up a large patio area in our Esperanza Garden which borders two sides of the
little house in our back yard.
Our Esperanza Garden is rustic and simple and full of talavera pottery.
Years ago, that patio was all done in limestone rock that looked like caleche.

The rock was my idea, and it was a mistake.
It looked pretty at first, but over the years it trapped leaves and dirt, it became
discolored, and it could not be cleaned.
The new patio is being done in adobon pavers from Mexico, and I love it.
Photos will follow once it is done.
That’s something else I couldn’t keep up with in the yard- my camera.
Now I must go do something about my feet.

You must read this post about one of my previous projects in the yard.
Have you been working in the yard this weekend?

Now that's a project that I look forward to seeing. It sounds beautiful.
Me? I mowed the lawn and that's about as much as there is to be done in the garden at this time of year. We need to build a patio this summer though, so I'm taking notes!
Oh, wow, Laura, we're still in winter mode here in WV, although today promises to be in the 60s. What you've got going on there is HUGE! No wonder you can't feel your feet, and I can totally relate to your back & forthing! I actually am sort of dreading the winter break to spring (I can't even believe I just wrote that!). This is the first year I am NOT looking forward to the work projects in the garden because I usually can't wait! I just want to be able to sit in a lounge chair and drink tea and watch the garden unfold (tidily) around me - is that too much to ask?? Yea, I thought so.

Oh, I can't wait to see the photos. No working out in the yard here, we had snow on the ground, and still expecting more snow later this coming week. Thanks for the smiles...Blessings
We will be doing something similar, soon. Re-vamping the patio that is. Can't wait to see yours.
It's going to be so pretty! We've made the rock mistake before too. We learned that they don't stay put!! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. When the time is right, treat yourself to a pedicure because .... flipflop season is here! Squee. :)
It is going to be gorgeous! I can't wait to come see it!

Love this idea! We have a "walkway" that is half paved with fieldstone and the rest is simply mud. I am going to be on the lookout for something to finish this well worn path. Can't wait to see your finished project.
I long for the day I can work in the yard but until the snow is gone to stay, that will have to wait. Instead, I'm working in the basement, not nearly as restorative but probably more needed! It will be absolutely terrific when you finish!
Today, my plan is to work on my back porch! It is supposed to be warmish in my part of Ky, so I want to tidy things up...out back. The leaves love to float and blow to a certain spot around the rocking chairs. Part of living with trees I guess. I purchased a pretty turquoise flower pot yesterday in anticipation of planting season. I love your pavers, and look forward to seeing the finished project. Sheila
Looking forward to seeing the finished project!
The color is so soft and pretty! Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Wow it looks a great project!! I love gardening too even if I've just a balcony.
I sepent the weekend planting lavander plants in wonderful lilac pots!!
Have a nice week
Oh, I just KNOW it will be such an improvement over the 'gravel' patio. For that, I'm certain. As for your question, hubby and I are always playing around with yard work, year 'round...it's a never ending 'chore'. But, I enjoy it. Altho, birding for me, comes as a priority. I have yet to lose the feeling in my feet tho. lol
Enjoyed this.
Well, we had more grass delivered and have folks lined out to lay it. Does that count? :o)) Can't wait to see your finished product.
