Here is my seasonal confession.
Each year as I make my way through my Christmas shopping list , and I am out and about looking for things
for everyone I love, I see wonderful things….. for me…….
There I said it.
This ranks right up there with this tale.
It is as if everything I didn’t know I wanted but now must have but shouldn’t (???) is right in front of me.
Here are some things that have made my short list.
* Narciso Rodriquez Absolu perfume-
which reminds me of a spicy, modern version of
Estee Lauder’s Youth Dew which reminds me of my mother (win-win).
*Bobbi Brown Desert Plum lipstick- the perfect
reddish plummy color. Here is what I think about lipstick color for women of a
certain age: go for it- which is actually what I think about everything for
women of a certain age.
* A Copper Tea Kettle- I don’t drink hot tea, but I just know I would if I had this tea kettle.
Especially since my kitchen is currently full of this.
And lastly, while in Kingsville at the Saddle Shop recently, I
really stood and stared at this.

OK. Back to reality.
I am still on a quest to find New York Giant NFL football gloves
USA style, youth size medium, for a grandson who knows exactly what he
wants.

For many years, I had a copper tea kettle that looked just like the one in the photo. I kept silk greenery in it on top of my kitchen cabinets. Never actually used it as a kettle.
ReplyDeleteOh!! You mean we are not supposed to make pure own 'I see and want list', and maybe get some of it while in store... Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI am swooning over that bag!!
Happy Christmas.
Ain't that the truth! But it does help when hubby asks for my list ;-) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have to keep looking the other way too, I see so many things that I think I need. Good luck on your hunt.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love Bobbi Brown makeup? She has the best color palettes. I have to say I think the copper kettle has your name written all over it. Santa said buy it! Copper with all your blue and white...oooh!
ReplyDeleteYou have wonderful taste, Laura...especially that gorgeous tote.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Ha ha, that happens to me too. Love that tea kettle and lipstick shade.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that I'm not the only one who does this! Merry Christmas Laura!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh because I am always finding things for ME too ;-) I do like the favorites on your list. Love copper and anything from King Ranch (including King Ranch casserole lol) and Youth Dew was my Mom's fragrance and I keep a bottle around because it reminds me of her. We can always start a support group! Merry Christmas Laura!!
