Phew…
It’s done- in all its laughing, eating, hugging, thanking glory.
We just finished watching Jurassic World on dvd, the second load of dishes is in the dishwasher, and all of the millions of dish towels and hot pads are in the wash.
As I work on my ‘do the next right thing ‘ list for tomorrow, I will be thinking of you.
Here was today’s menu:
Turkey
Dressing
Gravy
Pioneer Woman Mashed Potatoes
Sparkle Salad
Cranberry Sauce
Fresh Green Beans with Sliced Almonds and Butter
Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta, Pecans, and Balsamic Vinaigrette
Pecan Pie
Fresh Apple Pie
Pumpkin Pie
I am very tired this morning but the memories are precious:) Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful day with the family!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, "pioneer woman mashed potatoes" and "sparkle salad" sound very intriguing! And what a beautiful table you set for the meal!
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful. Glad you had a great day! And, I'm also intrigued by the sparkle salad. You'll have to share your recipe.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and your precious family! I know there were two looking down and blessing all of you yesterday, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tablescape! You are one wonderful hostess, chef and decorator! And blogger! Love you,
Nancy
What a beautifully set table and the menu sounded delicious. Ours ended early this morning as all our company has gone. It as been busy, busy around here and while we enjoyed it all, Hubby and I are definitely enjoying the peace and quiet this evening. :o)
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely table setting and the meal sounds scrumptious!
We had a glorious Thanksgiving, it began at 8:00 a.m. and ended 12 hours later.
We visited three different children and their families-could we be a little crazy...maybe!

Beautiful table, scrumptious menu! A portion of our family (the others are scattered) rented a cabin again this year. Nothing like cooking breakfast together in our jammies, then later preparing our Thanksgiving dinner together. It's amazing how much conversation & laughs are shared when we're out of our normal environment!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a blessed Christmas season, Laura. Looks like Thanksgiving was a success.
ReplyDeleteLove the table setting. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
