My Zinnia Garden 2015

Raised Zinnia Beds 2015

It would not be as much fun out in my garden without naming things.

I am a namer from way back.

 

So I’ve named this new garden…

the Zinnia Garden.

(I know…it isn’t very imaginatve ,but it makes the most sense.)


Our fountain (named Big Daddy) leads the way to this new garden added earlier this spring.

Just follow the path.


At the end of that short path,

is this.

My two new raised beds are at the end of a small patio.

There is a walkway in between the raised beds which I love.

I  have said often here on my blog how much I value and enjoy simple things. 

Every single time I turn that corner and see those beds, I smile.


It doesn’t get any better.

    Beautiful! You'll be cutting zinnias until fall, Laura. Mine are just peeking out of the ground because I was a little late getting them in. How could you not smile when you have zinnias? :)

    Of course it's The Zinnia Garden - and it is lovely. Just looking at your fountain helps me realise - we need a fountain! The yard in the new/old house is a blank canvas - on that needs some water!

    Laura, I know exactly what you mean by enjoying simple things and smiling at the flowerbeds. I need to make time to get out and spruce mine up a bit. Yours look amazing.

    I ♥ zinnias...I used to have a cute old white coffee pot that I would fill with those colorful flowers. They are happy flowers!

    Once upon a time there was a kingdom named Zinnia. Its streets were paved in fiesta colors and the inhabitants, clothed in radiant technicolor, danced gaily in the bright sunshine. All would bow gracefully as their queen, Laura Bell, passed by. For they knew as long as there was seed packet to buy and plant, she would protect them, care for them and they would flourish in the kinddom of Zinnia, in the land of South Texas. And they lived happily ever after.

    Your garden is wonderful! I love zinnias and try to plant several types. That will be my granddaughter's job this year as my knee heals up. She will love it!
