I am a high hopes gardener.
When I coined that phrase in my thinking this afternoon, I immediately wanted to name everything High Hopes.
High Hopes seed purchases-
and High Hopes planning.
In fact, as gardening season begins soon, I am naming all of my raised beds High Hopes.
Do you have high hopes for this season’s gardening?
Remember this song?
Just what makes that little old ant
Think he’ll move that rubber tree plant
Anyone knows an ant, can’t
Move a rubber tree plant
But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He’s got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

I always have high hopes that my garden is going to look just like the pictures in the catalogues!
High hopes is such a great way to put it!! What a fantastic phrase!!! I love all of your seed packets there!! And what a lovely bouquet!! Nicole
High hopes, love it! It's a must if I'm doing the planting! Yes, I remember that song, thanks for the ear bug!
Yes I remember that song and I think Jiminy Cricket was the singer. :)
I'm always a high hopes gardener. That's one of the best things about gardening. A new chance to create beauty!
hi Laura thanks for visiting...My son has some in-laws in Austin and daughter in law works for USAA..yes I am also a thrifter.... and a painter....but I reallly dont post about junking on my garden blog...im sure if I run out of ideas I will..sounds like you are a real southerner..
Oh my gosh I love that song now even more than I did in 6th grade
It will be a while before we can plant seeds, but the snow drops are in bloom and the daffodils are poking their heads up through the soil. Soon........
I remember Laverne singing it on "Lavern and Shirley"!
I harvested a whole lot of marigold seeds in the fall and am looking forward to planting them. Hubby isn't overly fond of them but I like their big pop of color -- plus they are hard to kill!
High hopes here too:) I remember that little song! Have a blessed "High Hopes" kinda day! BIG HUGS!
I have not heard that song in many many years, but i do remember it. I think High Hopes is a great name for your garden. If I with the brown thumb planted a garden it would take a lot of high hopes for it to grow... love the photo of the flowers.
To garden is to dream! I hope your beds exceed your expectations this year-enjoy:@)
I dream of fantastic gardens every winter, but come spring I'm usually too busy to devote as much time as I'd like. I guess high hopes works for me too...leading up to low reality.
Debbie :)
You had me at zinnias in milk glass! Loved seeing all of your seed packets, too. I am at that High Hopes gardening phase right now, too, having discovered Etsy as a source for plant seeds. So far I have ordered pink dinner plate hibiscus, and patty pan squash seeds.
In January I have such a vivid imagination about what I will be capable of doing in my yard and flower beds come spring....High Hopes describes the state of mind perfectly.
My high hopes? Adding another narrow bed to the back yard!
In fact, as gardening season begins soon, I am naming all of my raised beds High Hopes. TOP weed eater in the market
