If not for the flea market and other houses of treasure, life would feel just a little dim.
I know some of you agree.
There’s just nothing like it.
When Hauler 2 pulls into the parking lot of one of my favorite flea markets,
at around 7:30 am,
with my cup of Chick Fil A coffee and my cart,
I feel like Christopher Columbus and Amelia Earhart all rolled into one.
And then I start to smile and relax.
It is the hunt.
It is the possibility in it all.
It is the unknown.
It is the greetings of the vendors as I walk by ( “Buenas dias, senora”).
It is the fun.

Oh, that is a stunning vignette! I had to scroll down to see if it was from a magazine! Sounds like at least half the fun is in the hunt!
Oh yes, it is a thrill for me too. Will I find that special something today? Will I find something that I have been looking for? What inspiration will I find today?
Love the vignette, and you offered inspiration with that lovely display.
Rain or shine, there's nothing like the hunt.
I have not been to a good flea in some time - need to change that in the near future.
Hope you are having a great week.
love the hunt....love your display...
What a cheery vignette, Laura. The fun is in the hunt!
It's the excitement of looking for that find that makes it feel like you've won the biggest prize ever! Right? Your vignette is just lovely, each treasure, a unique find!
It's definitely in the hunt...oh the possibilities! ;)
I totally agree with you that it's all in the hunt (which also happens to be my last name! lol) and finding that perfect treasure. You have some wonderful finds there!

Laura, happy I've found you again. I lost my blogroll and have slowly been rebuilding it. I've missed your sense of humor and your great style.
Yes, it's the joy of the hunt for me as well. A couple of friends and I jumped into our car Friday morning and drove to Round Top for the winter show at Big Red Barn. Weather was icy so very few shoppers to compete with. We had a terrific time and all came home with treasures.
