Wooden Monograms and A List

IMG_0011

If I could hang these monogram letters on the front of my Tahoe,

I would.

I love them that much.

And yes…

I have more than one set.

And so it goes.

I am

copying MYSELF.

Does a COLLECTION of wooden monograms make sense?

Has anyone ever done that?

And so here is my list of things that

has been floating around in my thinking lately.

*The key to blogging is desire.

* Occasionally you have to Act As If and write a post anyway.

* Writing creates writing. Trust me on this one. I will always be in my mind and heart an English teacher.

*You have to write to write. I promise that makes perfect sense.

*Having said that, it is also just as important to do other things, right?

And finally,

*October is a wonderful month.

  1. I totally agree.

My motto is that you have to create to be creative.

I was an activity director at a LTC facility for 10 years. I never knew how my bulletins boards would turn out until I started.

Sometimes, you just have to start. I did a blog on bloggers block and before I finished, I had expressed myself quite creatively.

  2. Sometimes I write my best posts in the comments on someone else's blog.
Seriously... I have to go and copy myself and paste it into a draft...for future reference...a 'jumping off point' so to speak.

    ...oh, not everybody does that?

  3. I love this post, Laura. And I really needed a White Spray Paint post to read this morning with my coffee. I wanted to text you yesterday when we drove onto our street from our trip from Houston and see that beautiful front door of yours. What a warm welcome back to our street!! Thank you.

  7. love them Laura...I usually don't know what I'm going to write for a post till I just sit down and start writing...I used to try to match my photos to my thoughts...now I pick my photos...and just write whatever pops into my head...

  8. You are so right, you have to write to write. It seems the hardest part is getting started. Once I get started, it seems to start flowing.

    Oh, I love the monogram!

  10. Very pretty script. I recently heard a high school student say she couldn't read cursive. I hope that isn't the state of English today.

  14. Laura... you're a blogging treasure. I've been so busy and out of the blogging loop for the past 6-months, but life is finally slowing a bit for me now. I hope to visit a little more often and post every week. That is my goal at least.

Thanks for visiting my canning jar lighting post. I've really enjoyed renovating our kitchen this year.. we started in March! I hope to finish by December!

Autumn.. I love it. I think it's leaving the 100+ degree temps we have here in south Texas every summer, and getting into the cool nights and moderate day temps.

Monograms... I love them. I've got a whole Pinterest Board devoted to them! I'm sure you've told before...but where do you get yours! Nothing more delightful than a beautiful, personal monogram!

    hugs. Dixie
