If you were shy like I was when I was little,
you may remember
that feeling of
something surprising happening
and
your mouth getting all funny as you tried
to not smile too big.
Let’s say you’re walking down the hall
to the cafeteria,
with your hands behind your back like the rest of your kindergarten classmates,
and all of a sudden you spot your crazy
grandparents (Us).
They’re smiling and waving and taking lots of pictures
and acting goofy
like they usually do,
so you muster your coolness
Because you realize
they are following you
to the cafeteria.
So you give up
and get your tray-
even though your grandmother
Ma Do (me) is acting like you are too little to carry it all by yourself-
and Poor Po (my husband) seems to be enjoying
the salad bar offered to all grandparents
maybe a little too soon
in Ma Do’s opinion.
Anyway, you plop yourself down at a table with your friends
and
start on your chocolate milk and dessert first
and ignore all of the craziness around you.

Sweet pictures of that day to remember:) Precious little one happy to have you there with him! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
Hmmm...I'd have to say I agree. Eating dessert with milk first is the only way to survive all the craziness!
We really need to look into setting up a marriage contract between yours and mine!

What a precious story. My parents are gone and I enjoyed Grandparents day with my niece and nephew who have none.
I sure did miss my 11 month grandbaby. He sure melts my heart. He's gonna be blonde like his daddy, mys on so this little fellow makes me think of yours.
I'm smiling.
aww such a cute face...you know he loved every minute of it...but had to act cool about it...
I'd do anything that little cutie asked of me! If it meant holding off eating my salad, that's ok.

I'm impressed. Cool, calm, and reserved. Not too bad for a kid whose grandparents are stalking him!
:D Pat
Could he be any cuter...love!!
How wonderful for you to live close enough to be able to attend. He's adorable.
