Run!

IMG_8621
(my yard before the storm)

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with family and friends.

You are all such a blessing and just know-
that no matter where you are,
no matter how you feel,

everything is going to be OK.

And when you are handed your Easter basket for your family Easter egg hunt,
go back in time,
when you were a young girl,
and your cousins were all lined up around you with fire in their eyes,
wiggle your pinching shoes ,
mash your petticoat down
and

RUN!

***

Blessings to Dallas and Fort Worth bloggers who withstood terrible storms and tornadoes today.

My daughter was there with you, watching over her students in the hall of the high school where she teaches.

They were in good hands.

  1. We watched the news this evening and all I could think of was the women who I know through blogging. I pray that they are all safe.
Easter egg hunts - how I'll miss my little grandsons this year and their excitement at finding eggs in the woods.

  5. I felt for the teachers at schools where they had to "shelter in place." So scary! Glad everyone was safe. We just had black skies and hail in my part of Texas.

  8. Hi Laura!
You are so sweet to think about me and mine.:) I thank God that my daughter had your sweet daughter and all the wonderful teachers with her in those hallways until the danger had passed. We are so thankful this morning. No fatalities! God is so good and faithful.

  11. I sat in the hall with my high school students about 11 years ago as a tornado passed overhead. We all got hail damage on our cars in the parking lot! Oh, and I remember the Toni perm, shoes, and petticoat, too. I had that same hairdo with the bangs in your last pic of previous post. Ah, sweet memories! Linda

  14. Dear Laura,
I'm so glad you are safe, but sorry that you've had a back-set with your beautiful yard and garden ~ that was so sweet what your Dad said; so true (and you are SO blessed to still have him!! ~ I miss mine so!) ~ Anyway, reading your post spurred me to write about an egg-hunt memory of my own ~ thank you! This weather is so scary now days...we went to the basement several weeks ago when the storms hit to the north and south of us ~ it's just so random, it seems...:(
    Hugs,
    Anne
