Sometimes it is all about the shape.
I love this one.
I found this Nadeau frame at the flea market
and had the mirror added.
It will be hung somewhere in the den.
Until then,
I have created a new style in design :
Propping.
Along the wall,
you simply prop things you like.
And then you
Ponder.
(sometimes for days)
And just when you remember you need to
focus on the master bedroom’s lack of color,
you begin the
stumping,
as you stump your toe on all of the propped items, walking through the house.
Anyway, when I see this particular
shape, I start to
mildly hyperventilate.
Is that a contradiction in terms?

That is a piece worth a sore toe! That is the method I use often. Especially the ponder part.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that word but I love the shape! Hope your pondering will cease soon so you can stop stumping!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I have experienced these three words also. Sometimes "cussing" comes into play too. :) Love the shape of this and can't wait to see where you hang it. Is this a Celtic shape?
ReplyDeleteThis mirror is really charming...reminds me of a pretty one they did at younghouselove.com (Sherry and John). I think it's the same one maybe?? (well, like it) It's a couple of photos down in the post:

I sure have the stumping thing covered. big toe broken twice in 2011. Hoping not to do that again in 2012 but since its necessary for some things to sit on the floor like beds tables chairs and such, break 3 could occur any day/or night..
ReplyDeletelove the shape of your new mirror. Looking forward to seeing it hanging .
Laura I adore the design of the frame! Great find! Beautiful!!

I prop too:) That is the only way I can figure out if I like it or not! Enjoy your day dear Laura, hope the toe is OK:) HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI need to prop things up first, if they stay then it's there for quite a while! That is an awesome frame! You find the greatest treasures Miss Laura-
ReplyDeleteI need to check this place out. I love the mirror. You are too funny.
ReplyDeleteLOL...Nadeau is my maiden name! Cool mirror.
ReplyDeleteI like your mirror with the gorgeous frame. I should use your stand it in the floor method. I usually can't wait to get something on the wall and then if I change my mind I have to repair the hole in the wall. I'm too impatient, I guess. Would love having you show the mirror at my home party going on now. Join us if you can.--Shannon
ReplyDeleteVery pretty mirror. I always deliberate for days where things should go. Sometimes months!
ReplyDeleteI have never been there. Marking on my list of places to go! Love your new piece!
ReplyDeleteLovely! My daughter works close to Rice Village. Love that area.
ReplyDeleteI prop too...then I walk by it tons of times, ponder it, then ponder it some more. I would love for you to link up to my party that opens at 8pm EST. Hope to see you there.
ReplyDeleteahem, confession time - I have propped for several years ( gorgeous gilt frame) and finally just hung it last month :) :) still lookin' good!!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteI found your link at Savvy Southern Style, and I'm glad I did - you made me laugh! BTW, I'm coming to Houston, I need to visit that thrift shop because I see some things I want ;) Hugs ~ Mary
