Years ago, on a shopping trip with my girls to the Fiesta Outlet in Canton,
I bought 12 Fiesta dinner plates in different colors.
At one point during that visit, all four of us were on different rows of the warehouse.
All I could hear was the clanking of plates,
that passed muster (no flaws),
as they were placed in shopping carts
by my daughters.
My mother and my aunts, all Fiesta aficionados,
would have been very proud.
I switched out my daily dishes and started using my Fiesta plates.
Each day, when I reach in the cabinet for a plate
is a
NEW DAY.
I love the surprise.
Today it is turquoise at supper; tomorrow it may be red at breakfast.
Tonight’s Supper Sprinkle Salad
Sprinkle salad greens on a pretty plate
Sprinkle greens with
feta, strawberry slices, craisens, and almonds
add avocado slices if you like
Drizzle with my boyfriend Paul Newman’s Balsamic Vinaigrette
(no, I am not drinking the stuff- I am just a tad addicted)
Start changing out your plates ladies!
Everyday is a
NEW DAY.

Miss Laura -
I really applaud you for finding creativity and freshness in this heat! Keep on keepin' on!
I used to have quite a few pieces of Fiesta Ware and gave it to one of my daughters. I also collected the pastel version call Lu-Ray...and loved that too! xo Diana
Such a pretty looking salad! That looks so good right about now. Yummy!
Never thought about it but the different-dish-a- day that you get with Fiestaware is such a nice little surprise for you!
I like that!

I love Fiesta Ware! Your's is just beautiful1 I'm trying to get my husband's 79 year old cousin to part with her's - still in the original box! LOL!!!
I have seen this place, but never have gone in...looks like I should have.
Blessings,
Linda
I agree with you! I love to use a variety of dinner dishes every day. Keep 'em guessing; that's my motto! Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay
Nothing like a good metaphor from a fellow Teacher!! xoxo
I like to keep mine handy so that we use fun plates all the time. The fiesta plates are so happy! They make dinner a party.
I love that! Plates, purses and shoes...we need more of them!
Love this idea and the salad looks divine. A good friend of mine has different colored Fiesta ware. When we go for dinner her table always looks so "festive." (Pun intended...couldn't help myself.) Have a great Labor Day!
The perfect plates for this beautiful salad...can't wait to try!!
So pretty and yes I love that salad combo!
Beautiful plates and I love that salad:) I still have not tried that yummy dressing but I have a coupon... gotta get it!
Have a blessed day, HUGS!
I don't have any Fiesta plates, but on Saturday night we had dinner with friends who set their table with wonderful red and yellow Fiesta - it was a festival!
ONE thing I do not have in my cupboards!! I have to get some Fiesta ware! I have always loved the colors. And the salad looks SO good:-)
When my hubby and I married an old family friend willed her dishes to Steveo and his brother. One was a set of Nippon China with pink roses and the other set was Fiesta. Being a pink-rose-lovin-girl even back then you can easily figure out what I chose.
Last July we were visiting Steveo's bro and his wifey proudly served us an evening meal on that fabulous old dinnerware. I was sick! I wanted it so bad. I'm still happy with my china...but isn't it terrible I wish I had both?
Sweet post girly!

Oh Laura, I'm loving this salad recipe! Your Fiesta plates are just so enchanting and look at those fabulous placemats, wow! I've always loved Fiesta colors, they are so warm and cheerful looking.
I have missed reading your awesome blog and glad I'm back! It's been a busy summer! Thanks for dropping in to see me, such a sweet first post!
Hugs, sweet friend.
Nancy
Your salad looks yummy. I inherited an entire set of Fiesta from my husband's grandmother. I've 16 or 18 plates, bowls, cups, coffee pots, pitchers, tumblers, you name it. It is still packed away because I'm too afraid to use it and break it. Isn't that sad? You may have inspired me to break it out! :)
I love, love, love salads with strawberries and pecans and sinful dressings.
Oh Laura, it's sooooo good to reconnect with you after my blogging exit. I'm up and running and you will see me often. I'm also a Pinterest lover and will get your pins. xoxo
I LOVE fiesta ware! I have a collection and love to eat off of them. So fun!
Oh that salad looks wonderful -- fun how it looks a little different on the different colored plates. Love changing plates to match the day, the season, my mood -- no special reason at all. Thanks for your visit --- wishing you a joyfilled fall!
