This is it Miss Amy.
This is my style-
even as imperfectly as this unstaged photo portrays it.
I see its imperfections.
*It is a straight out of camera shot, as are 99.9% of my blog photos, because I just can’t spend the time.
*The foo dog urns should be moved over a wee bit.
*Those white shield chairs need a coat of paint and their chair seats are getting new fabric.
*That blue and white chinoiserie pillow doesn’t belong in that wingback chair.
However,
every day of my life…
multiple times a day in fact,
when I walk down the hall toward this end of our home,
and the sunlight is coming in through that living room window,
this very spot
takes MY breath away.
Every.single. time.

ReplyDeletethe best ....
I can see why you love it. I like the white chairs with the dark table. Love it all.
ReplyDeleteLove your style! If it was too perfect it wouldn't be so inviting. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty room... love it's imperfections in all their perfect ways!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm the same way with my pictures - snap and go - I try to take a lot knowing sum (most) of them will look terrible once I see them on a 19" monitor!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it despite all our efforts, we see things with change in the air. I personally just love it the way it is.

Bravo! I am all about living real life and have no time for perfection either!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, weak-kneed whenever the sunlight hits a certain spot in my home. What is it about sunlight? I can think of a dozen things, but that's a comment for another day. HA!
ReplyDeleteYour sunny spot is delightful.
I can certainly see why! It is beautiful in the romantic/living in it way rather than "designed." I love it!
ReplyDeletemine too. it is a beautiful room. I completely adore your blue and white porcelain collection and absolutely love the way you have blended patterns and colors and tones together to achieve this pretty look. So nice to meet you Laura!
