Help! Murder! Police!
I need your advice.
I have used Picasa forever, and it suits me fine-
plus it’s free.
Apparently while I was out of town,
something went wrong.
In the past when I loaded my photos from my camera
onto my computer,
my photos went two places:
my hard drive in My Pictures
and
into my Picasa library as well.
It was all automatic.
Now my photos don’t automatically load into Picasa.
I am an automatic kind of gal.
Any suggestions?

Do you load your photos onto your computer with your memory card or with a cable connected to your camera?
Wish I could help. I load from my camera on my desk top pc, and from the card on the laptop. Both go into Windows Photo Gallery (separate computers). Then I only transfer the ones I want to work with into Picasa as needed (again separate accounts). I am pretty sure there is an option to click on Picasa as to what automatically uploads there. I will go take a look and let you know what I find.
ReplyDeleteIn Picasa, under tools, go to Folder Manager and make sure the folder you put your photos in is set to scan always.

I take the SD card out of my camera and put it into the slot on the computer to upload my photos.
I am so sorry I cannot help you! My photos load into My Pictures but not Picasa.

When my pictures load I do it with a cord from my camera-- they go to MY PICTURES and for a while they were going to smile box-- I never figured that program out and I don't do Picasa. Sorry, wish I could help.

Well, I use a memory card and load them directly into Lightroom which creates a folder on my hard drive for each day. Sorry, I don't know what could have changed in your settings! I hope you figure it out. It must be very frustrating!

ReplyDeleteI use a cord to load to my computer...save them in my pictures...then I save them onto a seperate memory...because recently my laptop crashed and I lost some photos....hope you figure it all out...
ReplyDeleteMy images load into my computer. Then I go into MY PICTURES then at the bottom of the first image (or any image) it will say EDIT IN PICASA and if I click on that they all load into PICASA.
