I am now collecting (in a small sense and selectively),
wind chimes for one small area of my garden.
It dawned on me,
while sitting in that new space early one morning,
with my coffee,
that
wind chimes
should be near each other.
By clustering them together,
underneath the back porch of the little house,
I now have a
CHOIR
of chimes.

A choir of wind chimes ~ clever!
Ah ... one of my favorite things in the world, the delicate song of the wind chime.
Music to my ears:) I love them and have lots around my house! Enjoy your day dear Laura, HUGS!
I love to hear the chimes from a distance.
I have to give it a 10...got a good beat and I can dance to it.

P.S. Small and selective...new buzz words for 2011.
Loved hearing the chimes on this post. I too have a number of wind chimes and they are such a simple pleasure.
The sound these make are beautiful! Makes for a very peaceful setting I bet.
I love to hear them. An ex neighbor had one that was huge and had a beautiful sound. I missed hearing it after they moved.
Enjoy your weekend.
I love the Black and silver windchime.. where'd ya get that one! I know it's a sin to covet... but I guess I just can't help myself sometimes!!
I love my windchimes... they surround my front porch... they sing to me every day...
Did you know that ancient societies used them to ward off evil spirits.. I found that out when I gifted a set to a friend and she returned them because her religious beliefs would not let her keep anything that was of a superstitious nature...
I felt bad about it... so I hung the poor things on my porch... ;) and gave the friend some bubble bath...
hugs... Dixie
Love that thought.
Hope yours are all
singing to you in
perfect harmony, Laura!!

Ah, how lovely. You remind me of our wind chimes, which seem to have disappeared!

I just found some great windchimes when I cleaned my garage.... whooopeee... not as pretty as yours though... Such a sweet sound, isn't it?
Warm blessings,

Laura, Oh, I haven't thought of wind chimes in years. I love them and I'm going to look for some the next time I go to the garden center. Thanks and thanks for stopping by my blog with such sweet comments.
Hugs,

I have often considered wind chimes for the garden. Last ones I had were made of bamboo and a nasty summer storm pretty much finished them off. I'd like the larger metal ones. Their tone is just so much better than the tiny little one I had years ago (not the bamboo one, another one.
I love wind chimes and have them everywhere-though we certaily haven't had any wind lately!
I like the idea of painting words onto chimes. It's like sending a message to the heavens in a Buddhist Prayer Wheel sort of way. Not sure if you've heard of this company, but my favorite wind chime is made by Music of the Spheres. The sound is very, very clean. I have them hanging in the oak tree in my backyard.
I love wind chimes!!!
