For a five day period,
over a long weekend,
I was in New York City with two friends/colleagues.
This post is not about that.
Instead, it is simply about the photos I captured and brought home.
In fact, as my friends happily snapped photos of the 3 of us standing in front of
all sorts of wonderful sites,
But you know how I am…
there’s
no place like home.

Its always fun to get where you going, but there really is no place like home.
Laura, NY is one of my favorite destinations. I enjoyed seeing these bits of the city through your lens. Thanks! ~ Sarah
Jealous!... was the bridge in Central Park? Looks familiar?!

I was just there myself, LOVE, LOVE to visit there, but LOVE coming home...
And your photos... Just Lovely...
Interesting photos and subject matter-- you may have a roving eye...but it seemed to land in some of the most photogenic spots!
love the pictures, Pat
Oh wow, that fence post! What a capture you made of that! I love it! Would you mind if I copied it and printed it off to hang on my wall? It is absolutely gorgeous! You really have an eye for things! I know you had a wonderful time with your friends. Isn't girl time fun?
Laura- You have such a wonderful eye for photos! A ture artist's concept really! You mean you didn't take any spray paint with you- You know how they love grafitti in the city! xxoo Diana

Love your pictures dear Laura, but you know me... I wanna see more:) Have a blessed day, HUGS!
I was missing you. Funny I too notice odd but pretty things to snap. ♥O
I've never been to New York, never really had a desire to go, either. But these pictures have made me change my mind! Such pretty glimpses.
What great pictures. I have just got to learn how to make better ones...and then go on a photograph safari:) Hope you had fun.
You always have the neatest slant on ordinary things. Loved the pics!
Lovely photos! I especially love the blossoms and the ornate fence.
What a beautiful collection of photos! Love those pretty pink cherry blossoms. Thanks for sharing your post at Photo Feature Friday!

Oooh, lovely photos! Signs of spring! (We're a little, okay, a lot, behind here because the snow wouldn't stop falling...)
My girls and I are crossing the pond next month and I feel woefully unprepared. We'll be visiting England and France. I've got to work on our itinerary and figuring out what I'm going to pack. I'm a bit distracted right now, however, trying to plan my oldest daughter's graduation party just over two weeks away. Ack!
What a creative eye you have. Such proof that beauty can be found everywhere we look if only we view it through the eye of an artist. Welcome home and Happy Mother's Day.
I'm just in awe of your photographs in the Big Apple! Great post sweet Laura.
Hugs,
Nancy
