New York City

P1000051

For a five day period,

over a long weekend,

I was in New York City with two friends/colleagues.

This post is not about that.

Instead, it is simply about the photos I captured and brought home.

In fact, as my friends happily snapped photos of the 3 of us standing in front of

all sorts of wonderful sites,

my eye traveled elsewhere.

P1000062

P1000036

P1000068

P1000052

But you know how I am…

there’s

no place like home.

Interesting photos and subject matter-- you may have a roving eye...but it seemed to land in some of the most photogenic spots!

Oh wow, that fence post! What a capture you made of that! I love it! Would you mind if I copied it and printed it off to hang on my wall? It is absolutely gorgeous! You really have an eye for things! I know you had a wonderful time with your friends. Isn't girl time fun?

I've never been to New York, never really had a desire to go, either. But these pictures have made me change my mind! Such pretty glimpses.

Oooh, lovely photos! Signs of spring! (We're a little, okay, a lot, behind here because the snow wouldn't stop falling...)

My girls and I are crossing the pond next month and I feel woefully unprepared. We'll be visiting England and France. I've got to work on our itinerary and figuring out what I'm going to pack. I'm a bit distracted right now, however, trying to plan my oldest daughter's graduation party just over two weeks away. Ack!

What a creative eye you have. Such proof that beauty can be found everywhere we look if only we view it through the eye of an artist. Welcome home and Happy Mother's Day.
