Cool Colors

IMG_4658

It would be true to say

that in my home,

blue and white and I

can’t seem to part ways.

  wsp-button
I even patterned the design of my blog,

(upon the recommendation of my middle daughter),

upon the idea of a blue and white

porcelain piece.

But when dark pink enters the

picture,

I can hardly stand it.

Remember

years ago

when the experts said our best personal

colors were based on seasons?

Well,

I am a winter-

as in cool colors.

  5. Hi Laura,
Blue and white is very pretty especially with that vibrant pink! While I don't use blue and white in decor for myself I do buy my mother pretty pieces. It's fun! I did see roosters in blue and white at Burlington Coat Factory the other day. Not sure if you're a rooster lover like so many others. Those blue and white roosters did tempt me though. lol

I don't remember what season I am. It's either summer or winter. They're similar colors though.

    Blessings,
    Shanna

  11. Laura, your white and blue is gorgeous. I recently pulled my group of blue and white group out to enjoy for the spring. I have white geraniums in some of mine, but love the pink accents. ~ Sarah

  13. I had my colors done years ago but can't remember what season I am. I tend to paint in light colors that are inspired by the sea.

  15. Blue and white - nothing better - but of course a shot of pink is always welcome - and a pale yellow wall to set it all off.....perfection.

  16. I love your blue and white color palette and totally agree about the certain shade of pink! It calls my name on occasion as well!

  17. I think I'm a winter/autumn mix. I like the softer hues but have touches of "splash" mixed in. Always enjoy stopping by! Blessings!

  18. Laura I honestly don't know what season I am, but I gravitate to pastels like pink and aqua and light blues.
That reflection in your mirror is gorgeous!!!!!

And to answer the question you asked me in your comment...I think I am going to create a garden blog,(even though it will be open to all, the comment thingy will be disabled) but it will be pretty much a weekly log of what I accomplish in my Idaho 5000 ft above sea level zone 4 garden. I want to do this mainly because it will be my garden diary and I can keep track from year to year what I get accomplished. Then every year I can have it put to book form for me to keep so that when I get too old to garden I can sit and remember the good loe days.LOL!

I loved your previous post sooo much!

  20. I've never been a blue person but my friend Vicki loves the blue and white and has a nice collection. I'm a WINTER...or at least that's what they told me years ago when I got COLOR ANALYZED. I love bright colors and look best in reds, hot pinks, oranges, etc. I decorate with bright colors too. I've often thought of changing to neutrals like those all-white photographs in magazines...but then I think that would definitely NOT be ME!!!

  25. The company was called Color Me Beautiful, I think. My mother always refers to her "colors" and it drives me crazy. So 80s! :)
