This week my winter hibernating ends.
There is work to do-
in all of the usual places:
my garden, my closets, my garage, and even in my car.
Work is an interesting thing.
It creates itself.
At least it does for me.
I work by working-
not by thinking about working.
Does that make sense to anyone?
Just as creating breeds creativity,
working creates work.
So I am coming out of my snug , winter cave.
*The water ticket has been purchased.
*The bonnet for the irrigation valve is ready.
*I am going to cast fertilizer before the water is turned on.
*Our grass will get a ‘good watering’ as my mother would say.
*I am going to walk my yard in my baby blue rubber boots, with water swirling all around.
*I am going to work.

Sounds like fun work to me. I love when it's time to come out of hibernation and I love to make things pretty and fresh again.
ReplyDeleteI need to follow your lead, there is a lot of work around here that needs doing! Please take a picture of yourself in those baby blue boots!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your sweet comment!
Kat :)
I am jealous...I have neither the energy or the cooperation of the weather to get out there and work. I am looking forward to it though!..;j
ReplyDeleteI am trying to come out of hibernation myself. I have a lot I want to get done, but just can't get to moving.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Way too much snow in my yard to even think about yard work. Have a wonderful day!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I fully understand that concept! Once I get going, I can get SO MUCH done. But, I don't start out with a "list" of things I "have" to do. I just let the flow of the work take me there. :c)
ReplyDeleteSound like fun~ Happy working ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your work! Sounds like fun to me:) HUGS!
ReplyDeleteHi Ho, Hi Ho!

Laura, thanks so much for coming over to my blog and checking on me:) I am doing wonderfully. The dr. dismissed me on Friday and all bandages are gone...woohoo! The springlike weather we are having here in south GA has gotten everyone outside. We were at LOWE'S yesterday and everyone was buying flowers. Too soon, I think! Hubby has already started working in the yard though with me as his helper. Like you I have to actually get to work to work...if I sit around and think about it I get nothing done:) Enjoy your watering!
ReplyDeleteGo for it!
ReplyDeleteThere's so much water up here, that the ground 'squishes' when we walk. It's still too damp to do much in the beds, but a little clean up is in order, I think.
Sounds wonderful to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm really wishing the 2+ feet of snow in my yard to go away so I can do the same thing! I enjoyed my visit today, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMary
you go girl....loving our new weather...
ReplyDeleteMy garden has forgiven me, blooms and buds are everywhere and in order to pay homage to the interior, I hosted a party yesterday forcing me to do due diligence in every room.
ReplyDeletetoday, the studio for inspiration...spring is truly on it's way.

Make that two of us! We're enjoying such gorgeous weather and the work has begun. New pine straw and mulch was laid out last week and the list will continue on this week. Love a pretty yard and spring is just the best!
ReplyDeleteOh- YOU GET IT! I work to work too~! If I sit and THINK about working and all that needs to be done I achieve nothing...if I start...just start ANYTHING...it snowballs (oh-I am so hating those real stinking snowballs right about now)..anyway...it snowballs and I get more and more done...more than planned. I am a worker..and feel guilty if I am not doing something productive...but that is another story! Hugs-Diana
ReplyDeleteYour up-close pics are wonderful!!

A good day of working and of course, in working blue boots, is a red letter day in my book! Nothing is more satisfying than a good day of working and outside work is the best!
ReplyDeleteSending you good wishes for a great many days of memorable and successful work!
Your friend...hugs,
Nancy
