This morning at 6:30 am,
after getting home last night from our week away,
I was at the local HEB determined to buy some of my Thanksgiving groceries.
I had been to Chick-Fil-a, or as my youngest grandson calls it Chick-Away,
to get a large coffee.
I was ready.
Unprepared (no list, no menu), but ready.
I needed to get started.
And then I saw them…
the object of my recent affection and obsession-
creamy white bottle brush trees.
At HEB.
I am obsessed with creamy white bottle brush trees.
These were in the Christmas/Garden center at a price of
$3.50 for the small tree
and $4.00 for the small wreathe.
Now I am really obsessed.
I plan to experiment with changing out the red ornaments for all silver or silver and pearl,
or I may just leave them exactly as they are.
I don’t need 20, right?
While we were staying at our daughter’s house this past week, this sale circular arrived and
our grandsons did some circling.
Thank you Wal-Mart.
Now I am on a quest.
And little brother’s selection…
I may need to be at Chick Away again tomorrow morning.

I haven't seen a bottle brush, ever. That's odd. Maybe I will this season. I think your wreath is very pretty.
Another thing I don't know much about is children's toys...whats new, fun, creative...I need some grandchildren!!
XO,
Jane
CUTE! I love the all silver and white idea.
HA! I love those crazy old bottle brush things too. I had a white one in the 60's/70's!!! yes, indeedy~ And now they are back? Be still my heart! I had blue and green ornaments on my own! On to Chick Away!!! Hugs- Diana
I remember those, too! Showing my age, I guess.
p.s. I'm having a cookbook giveaway at my blog if you're interested.
Oh cute! My granddaughter is only 2 but I know it will be no time I'll be getting those circulars all marked up too!
Just bought a bottle brush wreath today...love it!

I love bottle brush trees and wreaths. Yours are great! I found my wreaths last year at BigLots but haven't seen them this year.
Looks like Santa's elves are going to be busy.

Tis the season for obsessions and quests!
Chick-Away...too cute. I remember those little white trees..they are a lttle retro. Have fun!
Laura, I saw these wreaths at Big Lots today too. I love the wreath and the tree.

My little ones call it "Chicken Lake"! Love those little trees, enjoy them! Hope you husband is doing good! Hugs!
I'm like you... those white bottle brush wreathes and trees will get me everytime. Now all I can do is try to get to HEB asap. I consider you the authority on good other-than-my-kitchen coffee... and Chick-Away sounds like I better get over there too!! (Read this to David and he got a good chuckle over it!)
Glad y'all are home. I like perfect attendance on our street!
Praying for a healing shoulder.

I have looked for bottle brush the past couple of years and have found none in my area...I am happy for you...go buy them out!
i love white bottle brush trees! did you know, that you can soak green bottle brush trees in bleach and they will turn white.....
Being the get-er-done girl that you are...just add to your growing list of things to do and make your own! If loving 20 of 'em is wrong..I don't wanna be right!
Seeing those circled toys made me long for the time of my own kids and the poor Sears Wish Book.
Debbie
P.S. Keeping y'all in my prayers.
Oh yes you need 20. Go get them girl before some other blogger snatches them all up.
I love the circles around the wants- my son wants that same pokemon game. Ahhh boys they are all the same aren't they?

No, you probably don't need 20 - but then, you never know.....
We're deep into Thomas these days too - it will be a Thomas time under the tree this year.

I miss little fingers trying to circle what they want in the toy catalogs. Too cute. The bottle brush trees are lovely and very unique. I can't wait to see your artful display
LOL Guess ya better remember not everyone lives in Texas and has HEB!!! And, I just bleached a bunch of green bottle brush trees. Takes minutes! I will still have to go see what HEB has, tho!!!
Not sure how or why you do that 6:30 a.m. shopping thing! lol I am in a deep sleep, state until at least 9:00! Those bottle brush wreaths are so cool, very 50'ish and why not buy 20? You could place one in every window and room. Can't wait to see what you do with them!
bottle brush trees ROCK!
hope you save a catalog with his little *scribbley* circles!
Your grocery store is awesome! I'm not sure what HEB is, but I've got to find one.
Your grandsons sound adorable...

I love Chic-Away....
I'm sending you good vibes for your quest. When you were little, did you get as excited about the Sears Christmas catalogue to come out??? I would sit for hours on end and mark the pages. Good memories.
Oh I do love a white bottle brush tree Laura!
hugs
I may need to stop by HEB later today. Those little wreaths look interesting.
Hope your husband is doing well. ~ Sarah
