When I left the house early this morning (with my husband and daughter Lauren)to go exploring at a nearby Market Days, I didn’t know I was looking for or needed a beaded evening bag ($10), but I did.
And then, as so often happens during treasure hunting, once I found the first bag, my focus switched from household treasures to purses.
After I found the snake skin hobo bag from Saks ($12), and after I arm wrestled my daughter, who wanted it too,
she then found these.
At a different booth, she found
*a red suede Ruth Saltz bag from the 70’s
(it is amazing…)
* a snake skin clutch
and
*a Paloma Picasso black leather bag.
My husband went along to drive the truck, because we thought we would find furniture.
When that didn’t happen, our daughter Lauren bought him a sack of these (homemade butter cookies).
Everyone was happy.
How cool is that white purse? How cool is it that I am checking blogs from work? yeah...The purse is MUCH cooler! Love them all but especially the first one. As long as you had the truck along you COULD have filled it with purses....just sayin.... Diana
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love that pearly purse--so marvelous! Sounds like a fun day--those cookies look delicious!
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of your weekend is just fabulous!

Laura, what fun finds! One can never have too many purses. They are the ultimate accessory. Looks like you and Lauren are set for the fall. I'd be thrilled with any one of these. ~ Sarah

That white purse is so elegant. Just like you! olive♥
ReplyDeleteI love to find unusual bags, but then end up carrying the same old navy blue bag from day to day. I love that red suede.
ReplyDeleteYou know I rarely carry a purse, and wouldn't at all if I hadn't found my chicken purse! LOL Those are cute though. Love the cookies.
ReplyDeleteYes yes. It's the food that always makes the man's day perfect. LOL
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of people who have great places like this to go treasure hunting!!! My DIL should have been with you...she's the PURSE QUEEN!!!
ReplyDeleteYou may not have gone looking, but they found you! Oh mylanta...I want every one of them....and a dozen cookies!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
...a definite purse day for you! They are lovely!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the snake skin hobo bag was a bathing suit and I was going to say "ooh la la" :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day for bag buying!! I think you're set for the year!
Oh My, Oh My.... I am the purse queen... Love & know my purses. You got some beauties!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a collector & I am pretty sure that the white one is worth a whole lot more then the $10. you paid. That handle alone would bring in some cash. Great finds...
Fantastic finds! My sister-in-law makes great ones, too. All I ever find is junk. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found my blog, because now I've found yours :)
