Truth be told, instead of viewing life through rose colored glasses, I would rather see things with just a tad of sparkle.
I highly recommend it. In fact, as I looked around my house this morning ,with the sun streaming through the windows, I realized once again that the things I love
are still sparkling.
And so, if you are indecisive about how to select things to display around your house,
my house and I
would like to make a very humble recommendation.

Hi Laura ~ Loved Your Post ~ The Crystal Rose Bowl is Beautiful, the Mercury Glass is My Favorite ~ I will look for More Sparkle in My Life (It sure could use it)
Great post. Your silver pieces are wonderful and every home needs a bit of sparkle. What a great idea to add a little sparkle to any life. Hope you have a super sunday. Hugs, Marty
What a great idea -I've always been into cozy darkplaces (my office, which looks like a library), but I find I'm turning more to sunlight and sparkle these days.
Laura what a delightful post! I love that, things that give back! What a wonderful way of looking at our treasures. I love the sparkle when light hits glass and silver. This post made my day!
Laura, You are so right! We all need to glisten a little more! I used to thing that it was a bad thing but nature shines and sets a perfect example for us. Thank you for the beautiful post with such a nice reminder to sparkle more.
What a great post. I also love the morning light when it catches on 'sparklies' - your mercury glass is beautiful and your comment about the rarely perfectly polished silver made me smile.
Hope your week has plenty of sparkle!
Leah
I love your last line - it's a great way to think about placement.
I love a little sparkle, too. My husband and daughter keep the silver sparkling for me - a labour of love!
We think a lot alike. I use mirrors all over the place for lighting. =)
Very nice!
♥ ♥ ♥ your Venetian mirror, Laura...and all your other sparkles, too! :-)
Laurayour mirror pictured here is so beautiful. I cannot have enough mirrors. Joe shakes his head every time I find another one but I manage to find a place for it! Stunning photos yet again. ~olive
Beautiful my sweet friend. I love your mirror...it speaks to my heart! Yesterday I was watching Antique Roadshow and saw a vintage Venetian Mirror that was 2die4. It was gorgeous but no where near as lovely as yours.
Now...your comment on my blog today made me cry. You are as lovely as my friend, Glaphre', and I'm quite sure the lives you touch (like mine) will forever benefit from your love and grace.
God is good.
Love to you~
Rebecca
Laura,
How beautiful!
Love the post!
Leticia
love your sparkles...
You are definitely a girl after my own heart, as I love silver and sparkle, myself! I am with you on mirrors ~ Whatever the condition, the more, the merrier : ) xx Suzanne
Neat post, Laura, and I love my "shiny" objects, too! And by shiny in this case, I mean silver. Oh, how I love it!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Nice post and I also love a bit of sparkle. Love the mercury glass.
Hi Laura, this is Patty Peony,
Your sparkly things are just perfect. I'll trade you some sparkle for some peonies! Whatta ya say?
I don't think you can grow peonies in most parts of Texas Laura. But you could ask at a local nursery to find out if your Winter temperatures get cold enough. Peonies must get cold in Winter to bloom.
I hope you find a lot of sparkle in the coming week friend.
hugs
G'eve Laura ~ What beautiful sparkling treasures you have ... I love the mercury glass. My favorite of course is crystals. Your mirror is fab! There is always such a serenity when I visit you ...
Have a beautiful Monday.
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Oh Laura, I love these photos!! I'm a bling bling kinda gal so all the sparkly shiny really appeals to my senses. You have some beautiful pretties that sparkle, just like your personality sparkles in your blog. Hugs,Marla
Good advice! I love crystal - sadly I just got rid of most of my mercury glass. I still like it, just not the pieces I had picked up. You have lovely sparklies!
Laura,
thank you for this sweet and thoughtful post. You show so beautiful things, like this romantic Venetian mirror and your words are absolutely right. Silver is so versatile, because it matches with every color and every occassion. It is one of the very good basics and so it is a good investment, not only for the moneyworth but for the decorative worth, also.
Greetings, Johanna
What amazing sparkle....I love your advice on decorating with things that give back! Thanks so much for stopping by and joining the party...see you next month.
