Morning Work Meeting

IMG_1464
At 9:00 this morning, my training partner is coming over for a work session.
I do beginning teacher and mentor teacher trainings, and we are going to tackle some new material.
Here is my simple plan.
IMG_1465
Banana bread from HEB, a local grocery store.
Add a zinnia, a crystal cake pedestal, and a glass dome.
IMG_1466
Use my Blue Italian coffee mugs and dessert plates.
IMG_1467
Prepare fresh pot of Starbuck’s Breakfast Blend.
IMG_1469 Pour half and half into my creamer.
IMG_1472
Organize work materials.
IMG_1476
Light candles so house smells amazing. Pineapple scented candles are a current summer favorite.
IMG_1479
Put more zinnias on the dining table.
IMG_1474
Smile and breathe.

You have just proven that simplicity can be just as breath taking. We should remember this and entertain more frequently as well, don't you think?

Love your pictures, Laura.

I have been mentoring new teachers (and some with "issues" for the past two years and love it. I am retired and this gives me a way of staying in education (which I love). I would love to hear some of the things you do as a mentor. I am the first and now only one in our system and just do what I feel needs to be done. No one has really given me guidance so hopefully I'm doing something worthwhile. If you would care to share my email is cheripie777@yahoo.com Thanks so much!

The corporate world needs a little Laura . . . I have a series of boring all-day meetings to attend next week and I'll think of your welcoming setting as I sit in a drab conference room. And next spring I'm planting some zinnias!
