One of my all time favorite, go-to flea market/antique store/thrift store quests is searching for framed prints.
(and lamps, and tables, and chairs, and china, and silver plate, and garden wrought iron, and old books, and Mexican pottery, and unique milk glass, and hammered aluminum, and religious figures, and Carolee pearl necklaces (preferably baroque), and lockets, and sets of napkins, and champagne flutes for mimosas (for my entertaining closet), and chafing dishes, and rattan chargers, and copper double boilers, and cake pedestals, and bangle bracelets, and vintage silver jewelry from Taxco…)
whew…
So on the way to Katy for a recent family wedding, my daughter Lauren and I persuaded my husband to stop in Wharton.
Driving north on 77, this is not on your usual route to Katy.
While going through antique stores on the square, I found these.
It was a grouping of four.
For those of you, like me, who do not have the patience to create a pattern for hanging prints perfectly, just do what I do.
Use straight pins and a tack hammer-
Double the pins if you need extra strength-
and
Change your mind frequently.

You hang like I hand and my husband gets so mad at me! He loves to measure, get the level, find the perfect hanger, etc. The pins just drive him crazy and eyeballing to center just sends him over the edge. It's so funny because the hanging scenario replays often!
great prints...
Wonderful prints and yes...I'm a pinner too! A little Home Interior trick I was taught years ago. Remember those parties?
Debbie
P.S. And I thought I collected an odd assortment of stuff!
I do like those prints!
Have a great week.
Great find! I love that the prints are a grouping yet are different sizes. Makes it more interesting! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Great framed prints. I just hang and if they aren't right I make more holes, but they are always hidden behind the prints.
Oh my gosh... I am married to an engineer so you can only imagine what goes into hanging a picture in this house. Can you say algebraic equation? I'm SERIOUS!!

And you convinced him to stop how???? I usually hear my voice saying "oh that looks cool" as he drives by at about 80 miles an hour.
What great prints Laura. Hanging photos is a very sore topic at my house. I can put more pin holes and nail holes in the wall than a busy family of mice! laurie
Laura,
Great tip on hanging prints...you found some very PRETTY ones! Thank you for coming to my NTT party.
Blessings,
Linda
Those are great prints! My dad bought me a laser level, but I have yet to use it hanging anything. I just "eyeball" it. Sometimes it works out, lol!
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful!
Wonderful finds! I have had really good luck with those 'hercules' or 'monkey' hooks (I get them at walmart in the hardware section) I love them, and they only leave a pin hole if you change you mind and take the picture down.
Thanks for stopping by tonight!
I'm another one who likes to use straight pins to hang things - married to an engineer with a level and proper hooks. I just hang pictures when he's not home!
Gorgeous prints - who could have resisted them?
Gorgeous prints! I am looking for a grouping up my staircase. Wish you were close enough to shop for me!
Have a blessed day, HUGS!
Those prints are a nice find!
Hey honey sorry I have not been over in a while. I love what you picked up on your way to Katy.
What route do you usually take to Katy. I guess down I10..
Thanks for entering my giveaway and good luck.
I just love coming to your site it is always such a fun visit.
Love
Maggie
Those are lovely prints and thank you for the hanging tips! We live in a rental apt. so I have to strategically hang things over the giant nail holes from where I had other things hung and changed my mind.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I've used Behr Cottage White before but in flat, this was my first time using semi-gloss...it takes longer to dry and also is harder to distress but I like the glossy look:)
I just found your blog and love it. The prints you found are fabulous. I love that they are all different sizes. You have inspired me about hanging pictures...something I'm always nervous about.
I have also been reading your past posts. I am now a follower. Fun blog.
