An Instant Fountain

IMG_0607
As a high school yearbook sponsor , I learned quickly to fear 4 things:
*looking at my roster for the first time thinking, please , please let me have another Jennifer, or please, please, let me have another Leslye
(note: Jennifer is the daughter of Nancy from Nancy’s Notes- Leslye is the daughter of another dear friend)
*proofing the final published product for the first time and finding errors
*trying to count the money we took in that morning selling breakfast tacos
and
*Trapped White Space

With this new blog template and my photos flipping all over the page, I am trapping white space to beat the band.
It’s all over the place.
So I am TRYING TO RELAX.

This instant fountain feature is from Overstock , and it is amazing.
Anything that holds water and is wide enough for the bamboo fountain to rest on its rim becomes a fountain.
This is a small concrete trough we used when the girls raised lambs for 4H.
I may put one in every room in the house…

  4. Just the thought of a fountain is so relaxing. I finally have my pond up and running for the summer and I get so much enjoyment from it!

  5. Well, how neat is that fountain! I love the sound of water, it's just so soothing. Oh I hear what you mean, I don't know what goes on when I insert a photograph, but it is not ever where I want them placed. The preview is not what I actually think it's going to look like! I am talking to Jennifer on the phone so much while I am getting my blog ready to post! You would think I would get it! Your blog looks awesome, so you got it! What a sweet comment about Jennifer!

    Hugs,

    Nancy

  6. I learned to love photography working on the yearbook in your class. Thanks for trusting me to take that huge camera everywhere. =)

Regarding your last post, my guest bedroom used to look very similar with the white bed, green wall, dusty purple accents... now our guest bedroom has become our baby boy's room.

  9. I love your pictures - the lady bug on the leaf - precious.

Water fountains and deep breathing - very relaxing.

  12. It's been years since I've heard the term Trapped White Space! I was yearbook editor in high school and often think of the 'layout rules' when looking at photos or artwork or my blog (I refuse to believe that TWS is a good thing, even in the blogosphere!). . . at my school, though, we sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts instead of breakfast tacos. The bamboo fountain is lovely, I'm off to Overstock to check it out.
    Cheers,
    Leah

  13. I love your blog....it's always lovely with such great pictures. I'm still trying to learn how all you blogging gals make your spaces look so beautiful. I'm new at it and my blog seems very inadequate compared to all the lovely ones I follow. Hopefully I will learn and grow!
