The Blogger Party

The first weekend of my week long stay at my oldest daughter’s , my husband took care of the baby sitting duties so I could go to the Blogger Party at Theresa of Garden Antiques Vintage amazing booth at Zapp Hall in Warrenton.

There have been some wonderful posts done on the blog party, and I realize mine is a little late, but I wanted to share a little of what I experienced.

Debbie

When I arrived, I made my way straight to Debbie’s (Debbie of Talking Trash) . I turned the corner and there she was talking to Jodie of Everything Vintage.

I wanted to cry (I think I did.) In fact I didn’t know whether I should laugh or cry. So, I did both.

Keep in mind, this is after a year of blogging and visiting, and laughing at all of the fun craziness of blogging with creative people ,and never meeting face to face.

I liken blogging to having mega pen pals.

Meeting these two ladies was a real treat for me.  This has been said before about both of them, but they are real, and genuine, and generous, and kind, and friendly, and welcoming.

May I also say I had the pleasure of meeting Cat Daddy, and he is a scholar and a gentleman.

Then Anne of Fiona and Twig stopped by , and I met her and the list goes on and on.

Then Debbie introduced me to Amy of The Gypsy Chick ,and I immediately sensed a sweet spirit, and saw a fun sparkle in her eye.

I took a hostess gift to give to Theresa, along with little bags of cookies for other bloggers at the party.

What were they? Pan de polvo cookies (Mexican wedding cookies) from Celebrity Cake Shop in McAllen. They are delicious.

Laura, it had to have been incredible to meet, as you put it your "mega pen pals." Your description of them is so true in this virtual world of blogland! You said it best!

Hugs,

Nancy

Sounds like fun...I will never do that I don't think...but I sometimes think it would be so fun to have lots of blog friends come here and stay in our home and enjoy the beautiful red rock country and national part that is 15 min. from our home! Hope you had a great Easter...come say hi :D

Sounds like so much fun to meet your blog friends in person. Dave from "A Year on the Grill" is inviting everyone to visit, in the Virgin Islands. Wouldn't that be a blast?! Hope you had a very Happy Easter and merci beaucoup for the lovely Easter card. It made my day, cher!

What fun to meet people in the 'real'!

I like your reference of 'pen pals'. Now when people give me the face when I talk about my blogging friends, maybe they'll understand if I state it that way. Sounds like it was a wonderful time for all!
Blessings,
Cindy

Awe Laura...you are tooooo sweet!!!!

That day of meeting you will go down in history as one of my best blogging days ever! You totally made it complete...cookies and all! :))

I just love you to pieces girl!!!!!
But couldn't you have photoshopped the picture and make me look like Julia Roberts or Taylor Swift?
;)

If Jodie gets to look like Julia or Taylor, I want to look like Brangelina...either one!
Meeting you was a dream come true for me. Crying through laughter is the only way to fly. I don't know which was sweeter...you or the cookies. I do know that meeting a "voice" in person sometimes can be a disappointment, but you were everything (and more) that I had envisioned. You are beautiful through and through and getting to see your pretty face sure made the sun shine a little brighter for me.

P.S. Does that bakery ship? I'm in lust with those cookies. Thank you so much for adding to my addictive behavior!

Theresa LOVED your cookies. She was still talking about them when I arrived later in the week. She thought you were delightful, too. LOL.

Hi Laura! Ah, how sweet are you! I was just reading along and then noticed my picture. How funny!
I am now so addicted to your beautiful blog :) You have motivated me to clean up the back yard a bit & plant some beautiful new plants back there. I just can't wait until they begin to bloom.
