Silver Sunday III Odds and Ends

IMGP1058

Did I plan to show everyone parts of my hall bath for Silver Sunday? No, but here is why I am.

IMGP1068

The walls are painted a charcoal metallic silver.  (Ralph Lauren paint)

IMGP1061

IMGP1063

This is just another example,a little off the beaten path, from my quirky house that I love. I also like to use silver plate pieces from India. I like sparkle.

IMGP1060

And finally, two of my favorite pieces: a heart box that is in my study, and a vase that I use often in my living room.

IMGP1073

Go to the wonderful Gypsy Fish for other Silver Sunday examples.

Laura-I'd love to see the rest of the bathroom! I am redoing my powder room and really want to do something a little different on the walls. I love this paint. It is the perfect backdrop for your white collection

That wall color does look beautiful. It is a perfect backdrop for your white and silver pieces. I'm thinking Ralph Lauren is going to have a run on their charcoal metallic paint :-)

Wow Laura, what a great idea. Love that deep color with all the white and silver. I like Indian silver and Mexican silver also, it has alot of detail and intricate designs. OK, so when do we get to see the rest of it!

The paint color is gorgeous. I love when someone picks a color I never would and it looks fabulous!! Love your white milk glass, too (it IS milk glass?).

The vase is beautiful, I can see why you move it around. And the heart box is precious!

happy week. Dixie

Laura - I love that paint. What a genius decorator you are!! We love bling, too. I am in the process of buying some holloware pieces for PD to use after she gets married! She likes it, also, but didn't register for any, so I am starting a collection for her. xoxo

Laura, Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. It brought me to your blog, which is just beautiful, filled with stunning pictures and fabulous posts! When I read you're retired, I have to admit I felt a tinge of jealousy. Oh well, at least tomorrow I can stay home and pretend! Have a wonderful week, Anita :)

Hi Laura,
Silver walls...oooh, so pretty! I love your milkware AND your silver. I'm with everyone here. I'd love to see more of those walls.

I start garden chores in late March, because the snow usually stays until then. I start weeding very early and do Winter clean up and transplant things. I usually don't start anything from seed here because of our season being so short. I do start the sweet peas from seed.

You have a fun blog! I found you through Roxanne's blog. Don't you just love treasures found? I love "exploring" with my daughter, too.

Hi Laura, You had asked what the dish is called that I had served the eggs in. It's a silent butler. In former times those were used to collect ashes and crumbs. Mine isn't that old and since it has this glass tray I think it was made to serve something. I often use it for snacks :).

Hugs,
Julia
