Did I plan to show everyone parts of my hall bath for Silver Sunday? No, but here is why I am.
The walls are painted a charcoal metallic silver. (Ralph Lauren paint)
This is just another example,a little off the beaten path, from my quirky house that I love. I also like to use silver plate pieces from India. I like sparkle.
And finally, two of my favorite pieces: a heart box that is in my study, and a vase that I use often in my living room.
Go to the wonderful Gypsy Fish for other Silver Sunday examples.
OH I want that heart box...ok, you can keep it, just let me see it from time to time! Have a blessed day dear Laura!
ReplyDeleteLaura-I'd love to see the rest of the bathroom! I am redoing my powder room and really want to do something a little different on the walls. I love this paint. It is the perfect backdrop for your white collection

Laura - I love that paint. What a genius decorator you are!! We love bling, too. I am in the process of buying some holloware pieces for PD to use after she gets married! She likes it, also, but didn't register for any, so I am starting a collection for her. xoxo

Laura, Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. It brought me to your blog, which is just beautiful, filled with stunning pictures and fabulous posts! When I read you're retired, I have to admit I felt a tinge of jealousy. Oh well, at least tomorrow I can stay home and pretend! Have a wonderful week, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLove the silver heart box - the more antique-y looking the more I love these things.
ReplyDeleteLove the walls, you need to show more!!! Great silver pieces, I enjoyed seeing it all!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Hi Laura,
ReplyDeleteSilver walls...oooh, so pretty! I love your milkware AND your silver. I'm with everyone here. I'd love to see more of those walls.
I start garden chores in late March, because the snow usually stays until then. I start weeding very early and do Winter clean up and transplant things. I usually don't start anything from seed here because of our season being so short. I do start the sweet peas from seed.
hugs
You have a fun blog! I found you through Roxanne's blog. Don't you just love treasures found? I love "exploring" with my daughter, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, You had asked what the dish is called that I had served the eggs in. It's a silent butler. In former times those were used to collect ashes and crumbs. Mine isn't that old and since it has this glass tray I think it was made to serve something. I often use it for snacks :).
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Julia
I love the milk glass with the color of you wall, very pretty. Your silver is gorgeous, especially the little heart box.
