Pitiful Pearl’s Random Thoughts

There is nothing remotely interesting about this post, unless you enjoy random thoughts of self-pity .

I am quite simply WORN OUT, or as my mother used to say, worn to a frazzle.

Since a large stack of limestone is still sitting in the driveway, I have decided on a project change.

This mound is now going to become a permanent MONUMENT , exactly where it sits on the side of my driveway.

Convenient, right? I am going to ask my husband to chisel

‘Just Had to Have It’ on one of the slabs.

I think that Chocolate Layered Dessert eventually becomes a depressant and has mind -altering powers.

Yesterday afternoon I sprayed a very common (hint, hint) , miracle working product on my tomatoes and my new hibiscus .They are now shriveled and an odd shade of yellowish gray.

My Cinco de Mayo rose bush, 24 hours after I planted it, has turned to stone.

I POISONED THEM! I should have given THEM Chocolate Layered Dessert.

Aren’t you glad you dropped by?

  1. Oh, Pitiful Pearl you are quite funny! I love the abstract monument idea for your fabulous limestone purchase! Give the hubby a hammer and a chisel and set him free! Thanks for the smile!

  5. Good Morning, Laura! Oh dear, one on THOSE days... do you think you could just spray paint them all white and everything will look better...

(I know you will come up with an awesome idea for your limestone. Inspiration sometimes takes time)

  6. You always make me smile with your humor and way with words! LOL! Sounds like something I would do with my plants! I like your quote about a friend by RWE above....you do do that and we so enjoy it too! Be encouraged my friend, this too shall pass!

  7. See? chocolate IS Evil! Devils food! Have something disgustingly healthy today and turn your luck around.
How could you NOT impulse buy that stone! Get magazines out and look for ideas. Randomly lay them through your yard as a path(you'll have to dig to get them in, this will burn chocolate calories) stack them and make a new garden.

  9. Bless your heart! I have days like that too. Just think, a new day brings about a fresh outlook. :o) Ok, I keep telling myself that too ... smile! Seriously though, if you sprayed the outer section of the rose bush, could you prune it back some and give it a little extra miracle grow for vitamin? And the stone, that is some gorgeous rock you have there!! It would look so pretty around something like a tree or a little flowering garden. :o)

  16. This Muse has been right where you are...once or twice! LOL....
There is never enough time to do all that I want...and not enough HELP LOL...to help me get all of it done...
So I simply breathe deeply (rant a tad)...then lace up my boots...put on my gloves..and jump right in!

I bet the day will be brighter tomorrow!!

  17. Sounds like me on some of my projects. Sorry about your plants. I have lost a few pots of flowers this year, and I think it is because of to much rain and not enough sunshine.

  18. Hehe.. this is so kindly hysterical I can't tell you. I planted my queen elizabeth roses on Mother's Day. Today it is pouring an insane amount of water in my yard. I wonder if the queen can survive the wetlands. Oy.. a conundrum I tell you.

  20. So my mom isn't the only one who is always "worn out". Lord, if I haven't heard that a million times and to think of all the vitamins she takes. haha.
Sorry things are well with the plants. Maybe they will rebound.
